Rocket
is a Scandinavian styled restaurant decked out with a wooden roof and
tables and marble counters. Light bulbs hanging from brass pipes,
ambient music and big windows allowing for natural light creates a
cheerful atmosphere. The staff were constantly smiling and helpful, communicating with
their customers efficiently and prompt with our order.First off, we ordered fresh pineapple juice which was a tad too sweet and the "Yogio" smoothie which consisted of berries and probiotic yoghurt for a natural, smooth, and not too sweet or creamy taste.
For brunch, the Rocket Eggs Benedict was one of the best eggs Benedicts we've had. The eggs had a smooth consistency and the yolk wasn't too runny, but rather firm to complement runny hollandaise sauce. Crisp bread topped with arugula paired well with the spicy chorizo.
In addition, we had Rocket's Buckwheat Waffles, an excellent dish for those with a sweet tooth. The waffles were topped with fluffy mascarpone which wasn't too thick or heavy, and authentic berry compote unlike your typical overly sweet and artificially flavored jam. The dish was topped with shredded mint leaves, adding a pop to the various tastes. The waffles themselves could have been a bit thicker, but other than that the waffles and eggs Benedict's satisfied all tastebuds.
Overall, Rocket is a perfect place for brunch with a loved one or friend; the restaurant is not the place for big groups. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations, but don't skip on this restaurant just for that reason.
